Tekhnema was founded in 1993 with the help of the American University of Paris. It is since jointly funded by the American University of Paris and the Institute for the Cooperation of Art and Research (ICAR), New York and Paris. The journal provides a forum in which relations between technology, the arts and the sciences are rehearsed reflectively and experimentally. The journal is thus open to all contributions - be they philosophical, scientific, critical or artistic - that are concerned with the pivotal role of technology in informing and transcending traditional and modern distinctions between the "humanities," arts and sciences.

Any submissions appropriate to the nature of the journal may be submitted to the General Editor by mail or e-mail (see address in contact us).
